J.P. (he/him) originally from Greenville, SC and serves as the General Manager at the Tony Award-winning Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, DC. At Woolly, he has worked on the pre-Broadway engagement of Alex Edelman's Just for Us (now streaming on Max), the national tour of Madeline Sayet's Where We Belong, and the regional premiere of Shayok Misha Chowdhury's Public Obscenities, which was subsequently named a 2023 Pulitzer Prize finalist. He has worked in arts administration in theatres across the country, including the Guthrie Theatre (Minneapolis), Arena Stage (D.C.), and Synetic Theater (Arlington, VA). ​In 2019, he was the inaugural Allen Lee Hughes Leadership and Business Fellow at Arena Stage. His work as a producer has been featured in the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and the Post & Courier.
Directing credits include "Fire Mountain" (Los Angeles Central Public Library, Raze the Space); Grounded (Piccolo Spoleto Festival Selection, Boots on the Ground Theatre); Assassins (Asst. Director, Theater Latté Da); Hamlet (Asst. Director, Park Square Theatre); Three Sisters, Marisol (Coastal Carolina University); "Catatonic" (Atlantic Stage's New Voices PlayFest); and The Giving Tree (Fine Arts Center). He is an alumnus of the Directors Lab West and has studied Viewpoints with Anne Bogart.
Acting credits include over 25+ productions with SC Children's Theatre; Love's Labour's Lost and Titus Andronicus (Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey); Big Love, Pride & Prejudice, and Picnic (CCU); Assassins and The Who’s Tommy (College of Charleston); Lincoln’s Last Day (Smithsonian Channel) and “Identity” (The CW). ​
